You are here:Home > Why Should I Buy?
If you're like us, you've probably got several truly classic movies in your family collection: The Sound of Music, It's a Wonderful Life, The Lord of the Rings, The Passion of the Christ, maybe even Mary Poppins? In addition to these, there might be a few of those CCC animated saints stories, or the first season of The Beverly Hillbillies, or a Barney or two, or even a ...gulp...Veggie Tale? So why do we buy these programs, rather than just get them from Blockbuster, NetFlix or the local library? We recognize that there is something of enough spiritual, educational or entertainment value, (sometimes all three in one) that we might like to allow our children to watch them more than once - especially as opposed to watching almost anything on broadcast television (we gave up our cable years ago, and only really miss it on Superbowl Sunday) So, can we possibly compare our little films to those Hollywood classics? Not really, but my argument here is that a movie like our Saint Bernadette of Lourdes has the same potential for becoming a welcome addition to one's collection of "go-to" videos. It is a unique piece of distinctly Catholic art that inspires, teaches and entertains. Children are drawn in to the story in a special way when they realize they are watching other children, just like themselves. But adults, on the other hand often forget they are watching children after the first few minutes - that, for me, is one of the key marks of a successful film: it communicates well. But don't just take my word for it, read what people are saying:

"The whole thing is beautifully done, very unique. There is nowhere else in the film world these past 40 + years where you get a mass of children you like!!!!! (Maybe Matilda is an exception) The honest innocence (and fun) is like a draught of Lourdes water itself." - Priscilla MaCaffrey, Naples FLA

"We have laughed and we have cried. Otherwise, words fail me. Magnificent filming, magnificent music, script...I predict it will become a Catholic cult classic." - Alex Sepkus, Croton, NY

"I am speechless!!! One forgets that they are children, their performances are so good. BRAVO!!" - Fr. John Perricone, Secaucus, NJ

Thank you again for your interest in our work. Please consider adding a copy of St. Bernadette of Lourdes to your Family Video Collection today. I'm certain your children will want to watch it again and again. - Maybe even more than... The Attack of the Clones!
