From the director:

On behalf of all of us here at navis pictures, (aka the Morlino family), I’d like to thank you for your interest in sharing our films with your group.

Just a gentle word about the exciting world of Federal Copyright Law:

It will probably come as a complete surprise to you to learn (and understandably so) that possession of our DVD only allows you to watch it in the comfort of your own home; that’s called “Private Use”, but unfortunately it doesn’t give you permission to show it in a public setting.  So if you’d like to show it to your Parish, Youth Group, Club, Home-school Group, or some other organization, in any setting outside your own living room, you’ll need to purchase a Public Screening License from us.  But don’t worry – it’s quick and easy, and can actually turn out to be a great way to raise some money for your group!

Here’s how it works:

OK, so you love this film, and you want to share it with your whole parish (understandable, really…no false modesty here) So, say you convince your pastor to have a “Parish Family Movie Night” at your church; for a modest, flat rate fee we’ll send you everything you need – Posters, postcards, and bulletin blurbs, to help advertise, study guides for discussion, plus copies of the DVD that you can sell to re-coup the entire cost of the evening, and even have something left over for your parish.  We’ll even send you a special Public Screening DVD with an introduction by me!  Or, if you want to “kick it up a notch” and have the director himself come to your screening, and do a Q&A afterwards – we can talk!

Morlino Family.jpegI hope you understand that this is our policy – not just because it’s the law, but because it reflects the principles of Catholic Justice, as taught by Holy Mother Church.  We are not Warner Bros., or 20th Century Fox, we are a miniscule, little, Catholic Production Company with a total of one employee – me!  Yes, I want as many people as possible to get to see our films, but I am also trying to support my family with this work, and if enough good folks like you help us by following these modest requests, I may just be able to make another movie!

So please send us an email, or call us, and we’ll be happy to take care of everything.

God bless you all, and thank you again!
